Pakistan on Friday banned Khadam-e-Islam, the new Jehadi outfit which replaced the Jaish-e-Muhammad, along with two other sectarian outfits and put Jamat-ud-Dawa, the sister organisation of the banned Lashkar-e-Tayiba on the watch list.

The decision to ban Khadam-e-Islam led by Jaish-e-Muhammad founder Maulana Masood Azhar and the sectarian outfits, including Milat Islamia, a Sunni militant group, was taken on Friday night at a high-level law and order meeting attended by President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, official media reports in Islamabad said.

Following the ban, Pakistan police raided several offices of the outfits.
