The police has requested the CBI's Interpol division to send them the records of artistes who went in Daler's troupe to various countries, Patiala police chief A S Rai told reporters. "We want to check whether the artistes in Daler's troupe returned or not."

Meanwhile, Shamsher, on the expiry of his judicial custody, was produced before Civil Judge (Senior Division) P S Dhano who further extended his remand till November 26.

Rai also gave details about the reconstituted Special Investigation Team probing the human trafficking case. It would be headed by Superintendent of Police (city) R Monga. Besides Daler's, the team would also look into other cases pertaining to economic offences.

He was not willing to say if Daler would be arrested.

After appearing before police for two consecutive days in October for questioning, Daler had remained incommunicado. Courts in Delhi and Patiala rejected his bail plea and the Punjab and Haryana high court will hear another petition on Thursday.
