In a day of fast development, the entire team probing the human trafficking case against the singer was transferred on Wednesday morning. The team was led by Umranangal.

Mehndi had alleged that Umranangal had demanded Rs 1.5 crore from him in bribes.

"I will need to go through the case file and have a relook after studying the case," Rai said.

Rai was earlier posted in Sangrur.

The SSP said there is still no information about Mehndi's whereabouts. The singer's bail plea was rejected by a Patiala court on Tuesday.

Other police officers transferred were inspectors Shamsher Singh, Didar Singh and Prem Singh.
