June 28, 2003 18:32 IST

Punjab Vigilance Bureau sleuths on Saturday raided the residence of former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal in Chandigarh in connection with the disproportionate assets case registered against him and seven others, including his wife and son.

A Kharar court had on Friday issued search warrants for 16 properties of Badal in Punjab, Delhi and Haryana.

None of the other 15 properties, for which warrants have been issued, have been searched so far.
