O P Bali to take over as
Maharashtra police chief

Senior IPS officer O P Bali will take over from Subhash Malhotra as Maharashtra's Director General of Police in July, home ministry sources said in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Malhotra will be retiring on June 30.

Bali has held several postings in Maharashtra, including Inspector General of Police in Kolhapur and Commissioner of Police in Nagpur and Thane, Joint Commissioner (Law and Order) Mumbai and Additional DGP (establishments).
