Pakistan bars JKLF chief from travelling abroad

The Pakistani government has barred Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief Amanullah Khan from travelling abroad, the outfit said in Islamabad on Friday.

The government has put his name on the Exit Control List resulting in the cancellation of his passport, the statement said.

Khan had applied for a new passport on July 16, as he planned to visit Washington for the Kashmir Conference to be held on July 24-25.

Khan was told to collect the passport on July 17. But when he went to do so, he was informed that his name had been put on the ECL, the statement said.
