Engine derails, rail traffic disrupted

The engine of the Kottayam-Ernakulam passenger train derailed on Saturday morning near Ponnurunni bridge, railway sources said.

None was injured in the mishap.

The cause of the derailment is not yet known.

Rail traffic between Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram has been disrupted due to the derailment.
