July 03, 2003 05:01 IST

The Jan Shatabadi Express plying on the Konkan Railway route would not operate for 15 days with effect from July seven.

The 2051/2052 Kurla-Madgoan Jan Shatabadi Express has been cancelled "in view of several speed restrictions resulting in abnormal delay of trains running on the route," a KR release said in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The 2617/2618 Ernakulam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Mangala Lakshadweep Express will be diverted via Nagpur-Jolarpet-Palghat for the coming fortnight.

The route it will take is H Nizamuddin-Itarsi-Nagpur-Ballarshah-Renigunta-Jolarpet-Palghat-Ernakulam.

Trains on the KR route are running hours behind schedule. Passengers can refer to www.konkanrailway.com for updates on train position, the release said.
