Uma Bharti has committed many sins: Brother

January 30, 2003 12:35 IST

Suspended Bharatiya Janata Party legislator in Madhya Pradesh, Swami Prasad Lodhi, on Thursday said 'there is no possibility of reconciliation' between him and his younger sister Uma Bharti.

He said as long as he was alive, Bharti, who was asked by the BJP high command to handle the party's affairs in Madhya Pradesh, where elections will be held this year, will never become chief minister.

Lodhi said that his sister, as a sadhvi, had committed many sins. "If these are disclosed, her real face would become known to the people," he added.

Lodhi, who received a show-cause notice from the party on Wednesday, said that even if he gave a satisfactory reply, action would be taken against him.

In such a situation, Lodhi said, he was left with no option but to join the Congress.
