Deshmukh new Maharashtra PCC president

Former minister Ranjit Deshmukh is the new Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president replacing Govindrao Adik, All India Congress Committee General Secretary Vayalar Ravi announced in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Deshmukh, who is a senior leader from the Vidarbha region, had been PCC president a few years back. He is at present leader of the Congress in the Maharashtra Legislative Council.
