As part of its peace initiative with Pakistan, India on Wednesday announced four proposals, which included holding of technical level talks for bus links between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, and Khokrapar (Rajasthan) and Munabao (Sindh province).

India also proposed a further increase in the staff strength of the high commissions to 75 from the present 55, external affairs ministry spokesperson Navtej Sarna said in New Delhi.

Besides, India proposed removal of restrictions on the movement of high commission personnel.

The talks for the establishment of the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad link could be held in the week beginning January 19, Sarna said.

The talks on the Khokrapar-Munabao link could be held in the week beginning January 12, he added.

Sarna said these proposals were made "in continuation of the step-by-step process of normalisation of links and promotion of people-to-people contacts".
