M L Khurana quits as Delhi BJP chief

Smarting under the defeat of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the just concluded assembly elections in Delhi, its state unit president Madan Lal Khurana on Friday resigned from the post.

BJP national vice-president Harshvardhan will take his place.

In his resignation letter to BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu, Khurana said he wanted to quit active electoral politics.

On Wednesday, Khurana had quit his Motinagar assembly seat. He continues to be a member of the Lok Sabha.
