Bhujbal's assistant hands over envelope to SIT

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal's assistant V Pitke on Thursday morning submitted some papers to the Special Investigation Team probing the fake stamp paper racket.

Pitke, who was in Nagpur, returned to Mumbai on Thursday for some personal work. Bhujbal later directed him to deliver a sealed envelope, which carried the seal of the state government, to the SIT's office in Worli, Mumbai. It contained some confidential documents.

Meanwhile, Bhujbal on Thursday left for Nagpur to attend the ongoing session of the assembly. He had returned to Mumbai earlier this week for a medical checkup following 'uneasiness' and high blood pressure.
