Bhujbal complains of chest pain

Vijay Singh in Mumbai | December 15, 2003 13:37 IST

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Monday cut short his visit to Nagpur and came back to Mumbai after complaining of 'heart pain and uneasiness'

Bhujbal was in Nagpur in connection with the winter session of state legislature.

The deputy chief minister's private assistant V B Pitke told rediff.com that Bhujbal will decide whether to get admitted to a hospital after consulting his family doctor.

The opposition had planned to take a tough stand against Bhujbal in today's assembly session over the multicrore stamp paper scam. The opposition alleges the deputy chief minister took money to appoint R S Sharma as Mumbai police commissioner.

Sharma has since been arrested by the SIT.

On Sunday NCP leader Vijay Sinh Mohite Patil had a meeting with some leaders after there was reports that party chief Sharad Pawar had asked Bhujbal to tender his resignation. But Pitke denied such reports calling them 'rumours'.
