The Special Investigation Team probing the fake stamp paper scam raided the premises of a kin of Jalgaon-based industrialist Antim Totla, allegedly having close contacts with politicians in the Maharashtra, and summoned him for questioning on Friday.

The SIT raided a business premises at Santa Cruz and the Khar residence of Prakash Jakhede, brother-in-law of Totla, and seized some documents from his house, sources said in Mumbai.

Totla, a multi-millionaire businessman from Jalgaon, has denied reports that he knew the main accused in the scam, Abdul Karim Telgi, or met him.

He admits to knowing several political figures in the state, including senior leaders of the Democratic Front, but denies hosting DF's legislators in Bangalore when there was a move to topple the government in 2002.
