The sudden surge led many pilgrims to stumble and fall over. The resultant panic caused the pilgrims to start running helter-skelter leading to a breach of the many barricades put up by the security forces.
The injured are being treated at the Nashik Civil Hospital, Panchvati Hospital and Indira Gandhi Hospital.
