Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is not happy with the organisation of the Eighth Inter-State Council meeting, which got underway in Srinagar on Wednesday.

He is one of the few Congress chief ministers who are attending the conclave.

Speaking to rediff.com at the convention centre, Singh said very less time has been given to each speaker at the discussion on centre-state relationship.

"How can you justify holding such a convention when you are devoting less then four hours for the entire session. Centre-state is a complex issue and we need more time to deliberate on topics like articles 356 and 365 and economic issues like more fiscal powers to the states," he said.

He complimented Congress president Sonia Gandhi for organising a more meaningful discussion on these issues in Srinagar a couple of months back.

"Mrs Gandhi made us work from 8 in the morning till mid-night for three days. In this meeting we are not going to  get even an iota of a chance to put forward our view points," he said.

Talking about law and order situation in his state, Singh said everything is under control now.

"The bomb blast that took place in Ludhiana was not related to any subversive activity. In fact, last six or seven blasts
have all been due to gas cylinder bursts etc," he said.
