LeT planning attack on I-Day

August 03, 2003 20:29 IST

The Delhi police and other security agencies have been alerted to the possibility of a three-member Lashkar-e-Tayiba suicide squad having reached New Delhi to disrupt Independence Day celebrations.

In view of the inputs from Jammu and Kashmir, the security agencies have started scouring the city to nab the terrorists, police sources said on Sunday.

The police and intelligence agencies have mounted surveillance across the capital and are carrying out random searches at hotels, lodges, guesthouses and other suspected places, they said.
