Women ULFA cadres allege being treated as 'sex objects'

Two women United Liberation Front of Assam activists on Saturday alleged that women in the outfit were being used as 'sex objects' by male cadres, the police said.

The two ULFA activists, who were arrested when they visiting a doctor in Bengenabari area in Sibsagar district, confessed to the police that women members were not given arms training, but used solely to pander to the sexual needs of ULFA men.

One of the girls claimed that she had become pregnant as a result of this.

They told the police that they were unwilling to return to their camp where they were also forced to cook for the men.
