Pramukh Swami Maharaj appeals for peace

Shastri Narayan Swarupdas, Pramukh Swami Maharaj of the Swaminarayan sect, has appealed for peace and unity in the wake of terrorist attack on the Akshardham temple in Gujarat.

Offering his condolences and prayers to Bhagwan Swaminarayan asking for peace for those who died, the Pramukh Swami Maharaj said, in a statment, "The death of the innocent people is painful and heart-rending."

The statement further appealed the people of Gujarat and India to maintain peace and unity in the wake of this national tragedy.
