Karnataka farmers to
lay siege to Kabini dam

Sadananda R in Chamarajnagar

Farmers associations from Chamarajnagar, Mysore and Mandya districts on Saturday announced that its members would lay siege to the Kabini dam protesting against the Karnataka government's decision to release water to Tamil Nadu.

Last week, they had forcibly prevented water from being released from the Krishna Raja Sagar dam near Mysore.

This time, authorities have made security arrangements to prevent farmers from entering the dam.
