CEC J M Lyngdoh to visit J&K
to review poll arrangements

Chief Election Commissioner J M Lyngdoh will review poll arrangements for the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections slated for September 16 during a two-day visit to the state beginning on Friday.

Accompanied by Election Commissioner T S Krishnamurthy and Deputy Election Commissioner Sayan Chatterjee, Lyngdoh will visit Rajouri, Poonch and Srinagar districts to take stock of poll preparations, EC sources said in Delhi.

Earlier, the full Election Commission visited the state in August and reviewed arrangements for the four-phased polls.
