Congress asks three Bihar ministers to resume office

Anand Mohan Sahay in Patna

The central leadership of the Congress party directed three annoyed Bihar ministers -- Mohammad Zahidur Rahman, Choudhary Mahboob Ali Qaiser and Dr Mohammad Javed -- to resume office on Friday.

The three ministers in the Rabri Devi government had resigned on October 28, alleging the chief minister was ignoring them.

The All India Congress Committee general secretary and in charge of Bihar, Oscar Fernandes, asked the state unit leadership to direct the ministers to resume office. Fernandes said the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Laloo Prasad Yadav accepted the 'genuineness' of their grievances

The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Dr Shakeel Ahmed told rediff.com that the three ministers would rejoin on Friday.
