Ahmedabad ACP Surolia deputed to BSF

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) A K Surolia, who was heading the investigation into some of the cases of arson during the recent communal violence in Ahmedabad, has been reportedly deputed to the Centre.

Surolia, who had headed the police team in most of the encounters in the city in the past one decade, is going on deputation to the Border Security Force, police sources said.

When contacted, Surolia said: "Yeh to aap sarkar se puchho. Even I have heard that I have been transferred but so far I have not received anything officially."
