The SSG -- currently attached with the strike Mangla corps -- had picked five boys from the cadres of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba along with a group of 70 boys from Al-Ikhwan Islamic Academy in Chakwal, Islamabad, about a month back, the sources said.
These boys were later trained at different makeshift defence locations along the Indo-Pak border, the sources said.
From among them, a group of five was pushed into Jammu through the Sapowal-Basantar Devik belt a fortnight back, they said.
Thirty-four people, including the terrorists, were killed in the attack, which took place on Tuesday.
