At a press conference, Singh also released the copies of two letters purportedly written by Badal to Vajpayee.
Singh's remarks came in the backdrop of claims by Badal's Shiromani Akali Dal that Sidhu was a "man of the Congress", as he was appointed PPSC chairman during the tenure of Harcharan Singh Brar government in 1996.
Amarinder said as the matter was subjudice, he would not speak on it. He, however, reiterated that anybody found corrupt would not be spared.
He also denied charges that he was indulging in political vendetta and witch-hunting against his political opponents.
Vigilance sleuths had arrested Sidhu on March 25 from his residence while allegedly accepting bribe from a "prospective candidate" on the pretext of recommending his name for the Punjab civil service.
Besides Sidhu, five of his alleged accomplices were arrested in the case.
