United States Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Christina Rocca on Monday cancelled talks with officials in New Delhi and rushed to Islamabad following an attack on a church in Pakistan on Sunday, in which five people were killed, including two American citizens.
An agency report quoting a US embassy official said that Rocca cancelled her scheduled meetings with Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh and National Security Adviser Brajesh Mishra.
"Rocca has already left this (Monday) morning," he was quoted as saying.
During her three-day visit to New Delhi, Rocca had been expected to discuss the recent tension between India and Pakistan.
