Uttar Pradesh Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri on Wednesday said the administration will abide by the Supreme Court order to maintain status quo in Ayodhya.

"We will abide by the decision of the Supreme Court in all sincerity," Shastri said.

Asked whether the religious leaders and kar sevaks assembled in Ayodhya for the March 15 bhumi pujan would be arrested, he said: "Wait and see...if necessary they will be arrested."
