DNA test confirms Katara's murder

In a significant development, the murder of business executive Nitish Katara has been conclusively proved with his DNA samples matching those taken from a half-burnt body found in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahar district, police sources in Ghaziabad said on Sunday.

A confirmation to this effect was received from the Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory in Kolkata, where the samples were sent for testing, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the UP police have obtained custody of Vikas and Vishal Yadav, son and nephew of member of the Rajya Sabha D P Yadav, who had allegedly kidnapped Katara from a marriage party and later killed him over his 'affair' with their sister Bharati.

Police had registered a case of murder against the Yadav-duo after the fingerprints taken from the charred body matched with those of Katara.

The Yadav-duo were brought to Ghaziabad late on Sunday night, the sources said.
