Naidu, Jaitley too put in papers

Union Rural Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and Union Law Minister Arun Jaitley, who are being drafted for party duty, resigned ahead of Monday's Cabinet reshuffle.

Union Health Minister C P Thakur, who is likely to be dropped from the Cabinet, has also resigned following a directive from Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani.

He, however, made it clear that he would not leave the party.

Naidu is tipped to take over as BJP president on Monday.
