DeM banned under POTA

Dukhtaran-e-Millat, a women's secessionist group in Jammu and Kashmir, has been declared as an 'unlawful' organisation under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, a home ministry spokesman said in New Delhi on Thursday.

A gazette notification issued by the home ministry said, "The organisation is involved in terrorist activities and banned under POTA with immediate effect."

DeM chief Aisha Indrabi is wanted in cases related to hawala funding of terrorist groups and is absconding.

With this, 29 organisations have so far been declared unlawful under POTA.
