BJP activists burn copies of Time magazine

BJP activists burnt several copies of the latest issue of Time magazine in Pune on Tuesday to protest the 'biased and malicious' article against Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

"We cannot appreciate the way it has ridiculed the prime minister of this great nation and we consider this as yellow journalism," the activists, demonstrating with placards, said. The protesters, led by senior party leaders Vinod Tawde, Atul Shah and Raj Purohit, said, "We really wonder how a leading magazine like Time has permitted its reporters to write such articles."

The article, among other things, makes references to Vajpayee's health and personal habits.
