Natasha committed suicide, says police

The Delhi police on Friday night said Natasha Singh, estranged daughter-in-law of senior Congress leader K Natwar Singh, had committed suicide.

Natasha was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a five-star hotel in New Delhi in March.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) U K Katna said the police came to the conclusion on the basis of reports of doctors and forensic scientists, lab tests and other evidence gathered during investigations.

Katna said there was instability in Natasha's personal life and she was in a bad shape financially too.

The body of 31-year-old Natasha, who was married to Natwar Singh's son, Jagat but had been living separately for the past two years, was found on March 17 on the terrace of the first floor of Hayatt Regency hotel.
