Your Views:No, the mafia can't be removed from the bollywood. As producers have to generate money, which are easily lent by these so called mafia dons.It is a business of understanding.I think there is nothing wrong in it. Producers are investing large amount of money, they seek someones help, if any government financial institution could help as same as mafia, then they could avoid taking money from mafia.

Your Views:Well all those who are involved in this scam should be arrested at the earliest and police should interrogate them as they with other militant and not like that they are filmstars or whatever. But one thing that surprises me is that they recorded the tape in 2000 and are producing now..but anyways it seems like Indian police is in great form exposing first international matters and now national .

Your Views:I think its shame that police kept this this secret for two years and came out with revealations now. What steps they took for two years. Next again its shame on part of Govt that they cannot get rid of so called Bhai's of Bombay. As far as Our Stars are conecerned they are "the cowards".If they have little bit of self respect they should leave India for ever, we seriously don't needs traitors like them.

Your Views:The Mafia cannot be delinked from bollywood. The bollywood needs to cope with Mafia gangs for their survival. It can be delinked only if the mafia gangs got crushed....So it's not bollywood actors fault...

Your Views:A strong and relatively honest police force at the state and central level can solve it. The state government should be serious about it and the judiciary dept should be on top of it. Action and not words will matter. Go after the crooks with vengeance and in that process instill confidence in the hearts and minds of ordinary people.

Your Views:I wonder why we make an issue of underworld connection with the movie world selectively. Is it not true that politicians, civil servants and real estate developers all have this link? The core problem with this country is a total lack of accountability which negates the founding principle of a democratic country. The millions of hapless Indians are suffering in silence. The Indians should revolt one day, sooner the better, and bring in a system of transparency, honesty and efficiency in every part of life. In this process all these unwanted elements will get cleaned up. Just because the film industry is high profile in visibility, we should not focus our efforts selectively. Even here, what will happen at the end is that the film industry will pay a few big bucks to the underworld and politicians will take their kickback from it.

Your Views:i dont think mafia can be delinked from Indian society as once L K Advani said (when he was alleged to receive bribe of 5 lakhs from jain brothers)"Hum ne to behty ganga main haath dho liye humra to system hi aisa hai" and the funny thing is he is deputy prime minister. All know what kind of vision our politicians have. What u expect from them? Who is gonna delink mafia from bollywood? People like LK Advani ? LOL .I agree with one of the comments that why u wanna remove mafia only in bollywood ? Why not from every part of our society? Sanjay dutt got caught which gives clean chit to rest of actor actresses? jus like conviction of azuruddin and hanjie cronje made other players look more humble and nice!!! are they? the fact is if sanjay datt is caught that doesnt give clean chit to ppl like hrithik or amitabh or karishma or rest of the country the matter of the fact is mafia is there quite visible in all aspect of our life sanjay datt is jus one person.. its up to us how we can get rid of it that's a different subject.

Your Views:Mafia is a large constituant of Indian Parallel economy. Parallel economy consists of 60-40 deals in buying apartments in cities, movie financing, builder financing, political horse trading, right up to getting permissions to do any thing in Permit Raj. The reasons for existence of parallel economy lies in British defined Babu structure in socio political and business world, where without greasing the palm you can not climb the ladder. Mafiasos are just few power brokers. You want a star to report on set in time, call bhai, need finances for a project, call bhai, want your tenant to vacate, call local bhai. Such bhai's thrive due to loopholes in the system. If mafia needs to be delinked from Bollywood, it would need fundamental changes in the movie making business, no more proposal makers, let studios run the business like hollywood, have QA in movies to ensure high quality movies are produced ensuring low risks of failure. If we run Bollywood like a business, with smart business talent, we won't need any bhais to get the things done as it is the helplessness of producers and actors calling in help from Bhai.

Your Views:Our film industry is now heading towards mafia slowly and gradually. No doubt in today's industry, all big budget movie has link with underworld. Major share of Circulation of money comes from underworld. But this is wrong. There was a time when film industry has got no link with underworld. But now as the glamour increases, parrelly increases the indulgence of underworld people. Basically, this is wrong. Bharat Shah, a famous producer and Director too, is a king of underworld. Sanjay Dutt, Sharukh Khan, famous actors, are now found friends of Bharat Shah. They are promoting terrorists in our country and visibly or invisibly we are partners of those who are exploiting our country.

Your Views:The criminalisation of the Indian Film Industry is really a disgrace to the nation. I as an Indian really feel sorry for the fact that a cultural face of India to the world that showcases creativity and our civilization has really become a source of shame to us. One of the main reasons for the ills of the industry is because of the black box it has created around it. There is very little transparency in this sector and the industry is controlled by coterie of people who has actually inherited the right to be part of the industry from their ancestors. Hence a few people with their self interest has tried to maintain the status quo to gain the maximum out of the system and restrict outside competition. The best way to counter this situation is to discipline the sector. The government should come out with regulations so that it can keep a strict eye on the source of funding of the producing companies. Bank loans and capital market access should be made available to the producers. Each film production should be thoroughly audited and discrepancies sternly dealt with. The underworld will realize that opportunity of financial gains in this sector is quite limited and will leave.
