Lambasting the government for its ''lack of policy and vision'' in effectively dealing with the problem of terrorism, the Congress in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday said blaming Pakistan for every attack was not going solve the problem.
Initiating a debate on an opposition-sponsored adjournment motion to discuss last Saturday's Jammu massacre, the party deputy leader Shivraj Patil said whipping up war hysteria was in no manner helpful in addressing the issue.
''The government lacks a policy, a vision and determination to implement any plan of action'' to combat terrorism, he said.
''Let us understand what is your policy in clear terms,'' Patil said and added that ''the nation should not be kept in the dark.''
The former LS speaker chided the government for rushing leaders abroad to explain its position ''like a younger brother going to his elder brother whenever he is troubled by someone."
