Pakistan condemns Jammu killings as 'terror' attack

Pakistan on Sunday condemned the killing of 27 innocent persons in Qasim Nagar locality in Jammu and said it was aimed at escalating Indo-Pak tension.

"The government of Pakistan condemns the killing of a number of civilians and injuries to many others in a terrorist attack in the outskirts of Jammu on Saturday," a statement issued by the foreign ministry said.

"The motivation behind the attack seems to be to enhance tension in the region," it said.

It urged India to '... adopt the path of justice and dialogue to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people'.
