Biased questions in BPSC
exams anger BJP

Anand Mohan Sahay in Patna

** Why is the Bharatiya Janata Party known to be communal?
** What are the achievements of the Rabri Devi government?

These questions asked in competitive examinations conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission have led to an uproar in the opposition circles in Bihar.

The most upset is the BJP and understandably so.

The party on Monday demanded cancellation of BPSC examinations and dismissal of the commission's chairman Lakshmi Rai.

"If the RJD government fails to take action, we will approach the courts," senior BJP leader Sushil Modi said.

The BJP MLAs raised the issue in the state assembly too forcing its adjournment till the lunch hour.

"This is like screening examinees for their political leanings. Do you think anybody who says a positive thing about the BJP and is critical of Rabri Devi's government would stand a chance?" Modi asked.
