Information and Broadcasting Minister Sushma Swaraj is understood to have been asked to hold the Cabinet briefing from now on.
She held her first official briefing on Friday.
Earlier, the Cabinet briefing was done by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pramod Mahajan.
According to sources, Mahajan will carry out his briefing relating to Parliamentary Affairs, Communications and Information Technology.
