Osama not hiding in Pakistan: Musharraf

President Pervez Musharraf on Monday said Osama bin Laden was not in Pakistan.

"I doubt if he is alive and if he is alive he cannot be in Pakistan," he said addressing a joint press conference in Islamabad with visiting Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

"My guess is as accurate or inaccurate as others whether Osama is dead or alive. It is conjecturing that one can make," he said.

"If Osama is alive, he would be moving with the large entourage of his own security and therefore he has to have a safe heaven in a large area."
