"I have requested the deputy prime minister to spare time and visit the party office weekly once or twice so as to activate the party," Naidu said in an informal chat with reporters after taking over as BJP president.
Naidu, who will begin work from July 6, is leaving for his village of Udaygiri.
On the appointment of office bearers, he said, "I will start consultations after my return. I have met former president Kushabhau Thakre and would be meeting other party leaders before finalising the team."
"There will be live contact between party and government and the expectations of the party will be conveyed to the government," he said.
