Jaswant Singh, Yashwant Sinha swap portfolios

External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh and Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha on Monday evening swapped posts.

Sources said Shatrughan Sinha will be the new health and family welfare minister.

Sahib Singh Verma has been appointed social justice minister while Jana Krishnamurthy will take charge of law, justice and company affairs.

Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, who was elevated to the Cabinet rank, gets heavy industry portfolio, which was lying vacant after Manohar Joshi became Lok Sabha speaker.

While Minister of State Digvijay Singh has been shifted from railways to external affairs ministry, Anant Geethe will be deputy to Jaswant Singh.

Sripad Naik has been made Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Vinod Khanna MoS for Tourism and Culture.

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani gets additional charge of coal and mines.
