Police station turns into a fortress for Ranvir Sena chief

The Bihar police have turned the Sachivalya police station in Patna, where the arrested Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeswar Singh is kept, into a fortress on Friday.

"Nothing can be ruled out as far as security is concerned," a senior police official said.

Deputy Inspector General Ashis Ranjan Sinha said a Special Task Force platoon, and commandos of the Bihar Military Police were deployed in and around the station.

Three deputy superintendent of police have been given the charge of supervising the security arrangements, he said.

The police station is not far from the state assembly.

Singh is likely to be shifted to Central Beur jail in the city.

The Bihar government has also sounded red alert in state following reports of tension in some areas after Singh's arrest.

Home Secretary U N Panjiar said all the police stations in the 37 districts of the state, particularly in the Ranvir Sena dominated central Bihar, have been asked to tighten their vigil.
