Five jawans injured in ambush in Poonch

Five jawans were injured on Wednesday when militants ambushed a patrol party in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said in Jammu.

A heavily armed group of militants intercepted the patrol party at Mendhar near Balnoi early on Wednesday, they said.

The jawans have been hospitalised and additional troops rushed to the area to track down the ultras, they added.
