Sharma to move Delhi HC for bail: counsel

With two courts declining to grant him anticipatory bail, IPS officer Ravi Kant Sharma, key accused in the journalist Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, is preparing to move the Delhi high court for relief, his counsel said on Friday.

"We are ready and will move the Delhi high court the moment we receive instructions from Sharma," Mohit Mathur said.

However, he declined to specify the time when they would move the court, saying they have not received any instructions 'as of now'.

Sharma's earlier attempts to secure anticipatory bail suffered setback when his bail applications were dismissed by a court in Panchkula last Saturday and later by a court in Delhi on August 13.
