Samata Party MP ticked off for seeking PM's resignation

Samata Party president V V Krishna Rao on Thursday sought an explanation within 10 days from party MP Prabhunath Singh for his reported statement seeking the resignation of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee over the petrol pump allotment issue.

"Being a constituent of the NDA and in government, your statement is against the interest of the party and the NDA government. Hence, I seek your explanation about the statement within 10 days," Rao said in a statement released in Delhi.

He hoped that Singh would understand the implications and damage done to the party due to his statement.
