Sidhu's close associate names
Badal in job scam

Punjab Public Service Commission Chairman Ravinder Pal Singh Sidhu's key associate, Randhir Singh Gill alias Dhira, has named several VVIPs, including former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, in the cash-for-job scam, police sources said.

Ludhiana-based MARKFED employee Dhira, who was arrested on Sunday night by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau, revealed that all 91 Punjab Civil Services (executive) posts filled during Sidhu's tenure were fixed. He said each of these posts were either purchased or filled on recommendations from "influential personalities."

Dhira has also named three trusted aides of Badal whose relatives were accommodated by Sidhu.

Dhira has named a former SSP who allegedly paid Rs 70 lakh [Rs 7 million] to buy a PCS post for his daughter and Rs 2.8 crore [Rs 20.8 million] for his son's selection as DSP.

Dhira has also confirmed Sidhu's modus-operandi of leaking question papers.
