Major reshuffle of police officers in Gujarat

In a major reshuffle in the Gujarat police force, the state government on Sunday transferred five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers with immediate effect.

Additional Director General of Police (administration) A K Bhargav has been transferred as Additional DGP (Ahmedabad) replacing Additional DGP R B Shreekumar who has been shifted as DGP (Intelligence), according to an official spokesman in Gandhinagar.

G C Raigar, additional DGP (Intelligence) has been shifted to administration in place of Bhargav, he said.

Police Housing Corporation Managing Director S Banerjee has traded places with Inspector General of Police H R Gahlot (jails - Ahmedabad), he added.
