Laden look alike creates commotion in Jaisalmer

A commotion broke out in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) on Tuesday when a look-alike of dreaded Saudi terrorist Osama bin Laden was sighted moving in a vehicle, police said.

The police intercepted the vehicle, a Tata Sumo, on receiving the information and brought the suspected person - a look-alike of Laden, with an open beard and wearing a turban, to the police station.

On questioning it was found that the suspected person was the son of an employee of an American firm, Station House Officer of Kotwali police station Chandan Dan said.

The bin Laden look-alike was later let off, Dan added.

A large number of persons who had gathered outside the police station, on hearing the rumour that Laden had been nabbed by the police, dispersed after learning the facts of the story.
