Bihar ex-CM Jagannath Mishra
shifted from jail to hospital

Former Bihar chief minister and accused in the multi-crore fodder scam Dr Jagannath Mishra was shifted from the camp jail at Kanke to the Rajendra Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) in Ranchi on Wednesday following an order of the court of designated CBI judge H C Mishra.

The special CBI court had on Tuesday ordered that Mishra be shifted to the hospital on health grounds.

The order was issued in the light of a report by the civil surgeon of Ranchi in which he had said that Mishra was suffering from heart disease and could not be given the kind of medical care he needed at the camp jail.

Mishra, along with the Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav, had been sent to the camp jail following rejection of their bail petitions on Monday.
