India on Thursday named Indu Prakash Singh its new ambassador to the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal, official sources said.
A statement issued by the external affairs ministry said Singh would succeed current envoy Deb Mukharji.
Singh is expected to take up his new assignment shortly.
